About Me

I serve as a faculty member at the University of Minnesota Duluth in the Department of art & Design. My design practice consists of communication design, researching design processes and methods to best achieve accessibility, and photography that explores urban and rural environments. My design and photography work has been awarded and exhibited nationally and internationally.

I’m also a published author and have presented nationally and internationally regarding graphic design, user experience, sensory design, and accessibility.

I have 15 years of teaching experience. Before coming to UMD, I taught graphic design at Virginia Commonwealth University, Virginia State University, and Chowan University. I obtained a BFA in Graphic Design from Virginia Commonwealth University, School of the Arts, and my MFA in graphic design from Rochester Institute of Technology, School of Design.
